Our event kicks off on Friday with the annual car cruise, leaving the Zurich Community Centre at 7 p.m. and ending at dusk with the spectacular fireworks show. On Saturday the pancake and sausage breakfast begins at 7 am on the ice surface, followed by the “bean meal” which consists of a smoked pork chop, applesauce, coleslaw, bun and our famous baked beans. Our midway and street market lasts all day, as does one of the largest custom rod and antiques car shows. Hey, we get about 800 cars, it’s quite something to see!! Canada.

A Note from our President

The Bean Festival is just around the corner. Amazing how time flies over the year. We all have been busy making sure that the events and meals will run smoothly.

A lot of work goes into preparing the meals for the Bean Festival. We turn 2500 pounds of raw white beans into our secret baked beans recipe. There are 180 loins to be cut, coleslaw dished out along with the applesauce. This is all done the week before.

During the past year we have ensured the midway will be here, along with the concessionaires and the entertainment on the main stage. Our committee and the extra volunteers have always put in overtime and are to be commended for a job well done!

On Saturday the pancake and sausage breakfast begins at 7 am on the ice surface at the Bluewater Community Centre followed by the “bean meal” which consists of a smoked pork chop, applesauce, coleslaw, bun and our famous baked beans. Our midway and street market lasts all day, as does one of the largest custom rod and antiques car shows.

We have some new souvenirs at the info booth this year for purchase.

In conclusion I wish to thank all our volunteers who have and willing be working tirelessly and to the Committee who deserve top marks for united teamwork to bring you an enjoyable and exciting Bean Festival. Make sure to say thanks to those members in the red event staff shirts!

Wrench Benders cruise night leaving the Zurich Fair Grounds at 7 p.m. and dusk - fireworks presented by the Zurich Bean Festival, Zurich Fire Department & Wrench Benders Car Club

 Zurich Minor Athletic Association is holding their annual pancake and sausage breakfast at the new arena on the ice surface from 7:00 -10:00
a.m.

A bar will also be held at the New Bluewater Community Centre on the ice surface on Bean Festival day.

Bean dance at the New Bluewater Community Centre from 9:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m. doors open at 8:30 p.m.
